Are your rates competitive?
Yes. With lower overheads, we can afford to charge competitive livestock consultancy fees. Contact us today for a personalised quote. We offer ongoing phone consultations for increased efficiency, which means lower consulting fees.
Do you charge for travel time?
Yes, we do charge for travel at an industry standard rate. We only charge for the kilometres travelled, not the time it takes to get to you. We understand that no one likes to pay for travel, however, we feel that being on-farm with you and identifying areas for improvement within your business will be well worth the travel. Where possible, we endeavour to pre-arrange farm meetings on a date where we are already in your area to reduce the travel fees incurred.
How would an ongoing consultancy relationship work?
We will provide you with a detailed proposal outlining how we can help you with regular livestock consultation. Many clients choose a yearly consultation option, which includes preparation of a strategic plan and quarterly reviews to determine how the farm productivity and profitability goals are progressing. This livestock consultation package includes a combination of phone calls and onsite visits. Depending on your location and needs, farm visits may be half day or full day in length and usually pre-determined at our initial planning meeting.
Do you issue a contract for ongoing consultancy?
Yes, if you decide to appoint us as your livestock consultants on a more permanent basis, we will issue you a contract. The contract protects both parties in the unlikely event of a dispute or major change to either businesses’ operations. The contract includes a number of standard terms to protect both parties under the laws of Victoria and Australia, such as duration, termination, confidentiality and agreed definitions.
What if a client wants advice beyond scheduled review appointments?
All of our premium yearly livestock consultation packages include an unlimited call anytime option for farmers who need to discuss issues that require our immediate attention. We understand that livestock emergencies happen, and we are available by phone anytime to give instant advice and assistance.
Can a new client receive a phone consultation?
It is difficult to offer advice over the phone to new clients, without having an appreciation for their business or livestock. In this scenario, a farm visit is advisable. Once we have a greater understanding of your needs, constraints and environment, we can use phone consultations moving forward, and a fee for this service will be discussed. Similarly, for interstate clients, phone consultations will be provided.
I’m not sure about committing to a longer term relationship up front. Do you offer a trial program?
Yes, you can test our services before committing. Our trial package involves a meeting on-farm and to identify your issues and goals. We assess any livestock or pasture/crops while on farm, and send through a report with recommendations for discussion. After you have reviewed the report, we welcome a phone discussion with any questions you might have.
Do you offer results guarantees?
We are confident that our advice represents the very best practice in the agricultural industry. However we are not in a position to monitor the implementation of our advice and the exact procedures and strategies that may or may not be followed. There are also many other mitigating factors that may contribute to the lack of results, so it is difficult for us to offer a results guarantee which may be open to interpretation. However we do strongly stand by our advice and service. Click here to go to the testimonials page and read what other clients have said.
