A record sale yard price for ewes with lambs at foot was achieved by Dynamic AG client, Bernard Lindsay of Warracknabeal. The record sale yard price is a reflection on the hard work and dedication of Bernard, Max and the team at Prospect Rural who work very hard on their livestock enterprise and can see the potential of sheep in a predominately cropping area. As a result of continued meetings, we have identified the key profit drivers in Bernards sheep enterprise and together with the whole team have devised a strategic plan to focus on lifting productivity without spending too much additional money. The nutrition and the management of the sheep are of utmost importance and after building containment yards, we will have even greater flexibility over the summer months when sheep are being joined. Special mention must go to Aaron Zwar of Elders Warracknabeal who has been Bernards stock agent for many years and who is instrumental in the marketing of the Prospect sheep.
It is a credit to Bernard, Max and the whole team on what they have been able to achieve in a relatively short amount of time. I am excited about what further progress we can make and what the future holds for Australia’s sheep industry!
